Front Office Coordinator

Barkaritaville Pet Resort – Corpus Christi, Texas
Full-Time | On-Site | $15.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience

Barkaritaville Pet Resort is seeking an experienced, dependable Front Office Coordinator for our Corpus Christi location .

This is not an entry-level front desk position. We are seeking a candidate with at least 3 years of recent professional front-office or administrative experience in a busy, customer-facing environment.

This position is best suited for someone who has successfully worked in a busy professional office, medical office, veterinary practice, hospitality environment, or other high-volume administrative setting and is comfortable managing multiple responsibilities with professionalism, accuracy, and minimal supervision.

We are especially interested in candidates who are highly organized, dependable, confident, professional, and self-motivated -someone who recognizes what needs to be done, takes initiative, and follows through without requiring constant direction.

What You'll Do

• Provide professional, friendly service to clients in person and by phone
• Manage a busy phone line, answer questions, and communicate accurate information
• Schedule reservations and maintain customer and pet records
• Check pets in and out for daycare, boarding, grooming, and other services
• Process payments and maintain accurate billing records
• Resolve routine client concerns professionally and know when to involve management
• Enter and maintain accurate information in our reservation software
• Prioritize multiple tasks and follow through in a fast-paced front office
• Communicate clearly with clients and team members
• Assist with safe pet handling and resort operations when needed

Experience We're Looking For

Required Experience & Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of recent professional front office, administrative, receptionist, or high-volume customer service experience in a busy customer-facing environment
• Strong telephone and face-to-face customer service experience
• Experience managing multiple responsibilities and competing priorities
• Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software
• Experience accurately handling a cash drawer, processing cash and credit/debit card payments, providing correct change, and balancing or reconciling daily transactions
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Professional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on responsibilities
• Ability to remain professional and organized during busy periods
• Comfortable working around dogs and cats

Strongly Preferred

• 5+ years of professional front office or administrative experience
• Experience in a medical office, veterinary practice, professional office, hospitality environment, or other busy service-based business
• Experience processing payments, billing, and maintaining client records
• Experience with scheduling or reservation systems
• Experience managing busy or multi-line phones
• Strong data-entry skills
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, email, and other office software

Pet industry experience is helpful but not required . We are more interested in proven professional front-office experience, dependability, sound judgment, and the ability to learn our industry and systems.

Barkaritaville Pet Resort is a locally owned, full-service pet resort that has served Corpus Christi for over 17 years. We provide lodging, daycare, grooming, and other pet care services in a professional and welcoming environment.

Our front office is an important part of our operation. Clients depend on our team to be organized, accurate, professional, and reliable. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, follows through on responsibilities, and understands the importance of consistently providing excellent service.

Pay & Benefits

$15.00-$18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Our front office operates:

Monday-Friday : 7:00 AM-6:00 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Sunday: Closed, with scheduled pickup hours from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM

Your full-time schedule will be established within our operating hours based on business needs.
