We are seeking dynamic dance Instructors to join our lively team in. Specializing in SOCA, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, Bounce Music, and/or African-inspired dance styles, you will lead engaging group classes that motivate participants of all levels to move confidently and celebrate their culture through dance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your love for dance, coaching, and leading others in creating a positive impact in our community while advancing your professional skills.ResponsibilitiesLead energetic group dance classes featuring SOCA, Dancehall, BOUNCE, African-inspired dance styles, and other ethnic routines.Demonstrate proper dance techniques and exercise routines to ensure safety and effective learning.Design innovative class programs that blend dance movements with fitness principles, catering to diverse skill levels.Motivate participants through enthusiastic coaching, fostering a fun and inclusive environment.Provide clear instructions on body mechanics, biomechanics, and health benefits of dance-based routines.Ensure all participants perform ro safely by applying manual handling techniques and maintaining proper body alignment.Maintain excellent client communication, address questions or concerns, and promote ongoing engagement in classes.ExperienceProven experience teaching group dance/ cheer classes, especially in dance or cheer/gymnastics coaching environments.Some knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and body mechanics relevant to dance training.Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation (Automated External Defibrillator), First Aid, and other health & safety protocols.Background in dance instructionFamiliarity with dance industry standards Demonstrated ability to motivate clients through coaching and encouragement skills.Experience working in dance studiosJoin us to motivate movement that celebrates culture while empowering individuals through energetic dance/ movement experiences!
